  8. To Install
  9. ----------
  10. Run mcescher.exe, you will be prompted to extract the files to C:\Program Files\Plus!\Themes\ by default.  If you would like the files placed elsewhere, you may choose your own path.

  12. To install the theme's screen saver, run MC Escher Screen Saver Setup.exe found in the MC Escher Screen Saver directory.  To uninstall the screen saver run the uninstall program found in your Program Menu under MC Escher, or use Add/Remove Programs found in your Control Panel.

  14. To install the theme's startup and shutdown screens, run MC Escher Logo Setup.exe found in the MC Escher Logos directory.  To uninstall the screens, simply re-run MC Escher Logo Setup.exe.

  16. If you are a Win 95 user you will need to use the theme files found in the MC Escher Win95 directory.  To use the theme files, place them into your C:\Program Files\Plus!\Themes directory.

The sounds for this theme have been compressed using MPEG Layer-3 compression.  This is both good news and bad news.  The good news is that you can get stereo quality sound in a smaller package.  The bad news is that you have to have the appropriate sound drivers for MPEG layer 3 installed on your system.  If you've got Microsoft NetShow 2.0 or higher you shouldn't have any problems.  If you don't have NetShow, you can go to the following link to download a copy.

  24. This theme was originally created between December of 1998 and March of 1999 and updated in June and July of 1999 by John Martin.

All images were taken from the M.C. Escher "Evolutions" calendar and "The Magic Mirror of M.C. Escher" by Bruno Ernst.  All audio files were taken from the Aphex Twin album "Selected Ambient Works Volume 2".  This theme is freeware and is distributed "as is" without any explicit or implicit warranties.

  31. The screen saver and startup/shutdowd screens have been completely redone.  The wallpaper image has been touched up a bit and the WVLOGO.gif Web View image has been replaced.
